With reference to the conspiracy to close Gandhi Vichar Parishad

It is to bring to your kind attention that a conspiracy is going on to shut down the “Institute of Gandhian Studies, Wardha (Gandhi Vichar Parishad, Wardha), which is a Gandhi school of thought studies. The present director of the organization, Mr Bharat Mahoday, and the current chairman of the Siksha Mandal, Wardha, Mr Sanjay Bhargav, is in all likelihood of being the perpetrators of this conspiracy.

The alumni of Gandhi Vichar Parishad, for the past several days, have been doing Satyagrah for not closing the institution. In this context many e-mails, letters etc. have been written to the patrons of the institution. Efforts are also being made to talk to the patrons of the institution directly over the phone that somehow the institution can be saved by urging them.

A few days ago, an e-mail from the Trustees of the institution came in which we have been informed that the campus is being closed for some time in the context of the erstwhile Corona-Crisis and therefore, the“Diploma course in Gandhi thought” will not be operated in the current session.

But yesterday, on 17/07/2020, the employees of the organization were again threatened to give their resignation to the organization. Furthermore, the renowned Gandhian scholar Prof. Dr Ramchandra Pradhan (Ret. Prof. Rajamas College, University of Delhi), who has rendered his selfless academic service in the organization for the last two decades, is being threatened to vacate the campus. The incident yesterday has raised many questions:

1. If the organization is being closed only for a short duration, then why are its employees being forced to resign?

2. The institution remains closed for four months in a year anyway (during the eight months diploma course), and workers have never been removed or asked to resign at that time, then why is there injustice to them during the Corona-Crisis?

3. Veteran Prof. like Dr Pradhan has been being threatened to leave his residence, how is this fair?
